Position SummaryWe are in search of a seasoned Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect to spearhead the formulation and execution of governance strategies, frameworks, and standards throughout the organization, emphasizing Agile architecture delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of enterprise architecture, governance, Agile methodologies, and industry best practices.
Main Responsibilities- Drive the establishment or enhancement of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function, ensuring a balanced approach to enterprise information systems, data, technical, and solution architecture viewpoints among stakeholders, product owners, and Agile development teams.
- Comprehend, advocate for, and support the organization's business and IT strategies.
- Lead the identification and evaluation of enterprise business drivers to derive requirements for enterprise business, information, technical, and solution architecture; assess industry, technology, and market trends to gauge their potential impacts on the enterprise.
- Examine the current business and IT landscape to identify critical deficiencies and propose solutions for enhancement.
- Facilitate the development of governing principles to steer solution decision-making for the enterprise.
- Ensure that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities are aligned with EA compliance.
- Oversee the creation of an implementation plan for the EA, grounded in business requirements and IT strategies, managing EA implementation, ongoing refinement activities, and documentation of all EA design and analysis work.
- Consult with program/project teams to align solutions with architecture across all viewpoints.
- Define organizational needs for resources, structures, and cultural changes essential to support the EA.
- Promote the EA process, outcomes, and results within the organization, including to IT and business leaders; this involves assessing (through appropriate metrics) and communicating the achievements and impacts of the EA, as well as leading the development and execution of an EA communication and education plan.
Governance Strategy:
- Develop and sustain enterprise architecture governance strategies that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with industry trends and regulatory standards.
Governance Framework:
- Design and implement enterprise architecture governance frameworks, encompassing policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Agile Architecture Delivery:
- Lead Agile architecture delivery teams to design and implement scalable and adaptable solutions.
- Work closely with product owners and scrum masters to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Governance Metrics:
- Develop and execute governance metrics and reporting to evaluate compliance and effectiveness.
Risk Management:
- Conduct governance assessments and risk analyses to pinpoint areas for improvement.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry norms, including data privacy and security.
Communication:
- Lead and facilitate governance committees and working groups to secure stakeholder engagement and support.
Documentation:
- Develop and maintain documentation and artifacts, including governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
Emerging Trends:
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in enterprise architecture governance.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, governance, and Agile architecture delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman, or GARTNER.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.
- Strong grasp of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Outstanding analytical abilities.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all components of a holistic EA.
- Physical demands include significant time spent sitting and typing/keyboarding, utilizing a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device.
- Physical demands may occasionally involve walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
