Position Overview
As a Sales Coordinator, you will assist Sales Managers, the Banquet Manager, Front Desk, Directors, and the General Manager in enhancing customer satisfaction and boosting revenue through various clerical and administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include managing group room blocks, events, business travel accounts, and providing special corporate support through effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently handle sales office inquiries and qualify leads with strong communication skills.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and necessary documentation, including contracts and proposals.
- Coordinate all group and wedding business as directed by the sales manager.
- Follow up on all signed business, ensuring all customer needs are met.
Client Service and Management
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files to serve clients and the organization effectively.
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional and courteous communication.
- Collaborate with sales personnel to meet team goals and objectives.
- Stay informed about hotel rates, strategies, discounts, and promotions.
Communication and Coordination
- Develop an effective communication system within the hotel team to share details about upcoming events.
- Assist in implementing hotel-specific selling strategies.
- Ensure timely follow-up on customer inquiries to provide exceptional service.
Professionalism and Teamwork
- Represent the hotel with integrity and professionalism, maintaining a service-oriented approach.
- Foster a positive team attitude and maintain open communication with all departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
- Previous experience in sales, hospitality, or administrative roles is advantageous.
Skills Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job, including mobility and occasional lifting of office items.
