POSITION SUMMARY

Key Responsibilities:
Foster ongoing advancements in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives. Provide comprehensive oversight and strategic direction to the infrastructure team. Offer practical technical and design assistance to the team. Deliver support, guidance, and mentorship to a group of engineers. Remain informed about the latest technologies and industry developments, promoting their integration within the organization. Supervise the design, execution, and upkeep of diverse cloud and on-premises infrastructure along with information security systems. Formulate and enforce IT and information security policies. Develop and enhance an information security framework. Manage vendor partnerships, negotiate agreements, and conduct procurement research. Execute other job-related responsibilities as necessary.

Work Environment:

The role is conducted in an office and computer training center setting, involving continuous interaction with colleagues and the public. Remote work options are available based on organizational discretion.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended durations; frequent standing and walking; average manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; routinely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.; corrected hearing and vision within normal limits; effective verbal communication; proficient use of office equipment, including computers, telephones, calculators, copiers, and FAX machines.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of training and experience that would likely provide the necessary knowledge and skills qualifies.

A typical pathway to acquire the required expertise would be:

A minimum of five years of relevant technical experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computer hardware and software, or in system software development, or in the creation and debugging of computer programs, including at least one year in systems analysis and business application development; preferably including at least two years of team or project leadership or supervision of personnel.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline is highly desirable.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Experience in leading high-performing teams. Familiarity with standard on-premises technology stacks (e.g., VMware, Microsoft Active Directory). Profound understanding of information security principles. Expert-level knowledge with at least one major cloud service provider, preferably Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform. Foundational knowledge of systems architecture, network protocols, and common operating systems. Basic understanding of Cybersecurity design and best practices. Familiarity with prevalent open-source technology stacks (e.g., Linux, Nginx, MariaDB, PHP). Proficiency with automation tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible. Familiarity with cloud-native technology stacks (e.g., Containers, Kubernetes). Relevant cloud certifications such as Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect, Amazon Web Services Certified Developer, etc. CISSP certification.

SELECTION PROCESS

Initial Screening:

Complete application packages received by the final filing date and time will be assessed to determine if the applicants meet the minimum qualifications.

The Court will further evaluate these documents and may interview only those applicants it believes best meet the needs of the Court.

Not all applicants will receive an interview.

Oral Interview and Exercise:

Selected candidates may be interviewed to assess their relative knowledge, abilities, and skill levels in job-related areas if necessary.

Candidates may also be required to participate in a skills exercise related to job factors. If interviews and the skills exercise are scheduled, they will be conducted as needed.
