This role is pivotal in boosting market presence, sales, and profitability of New, Used, and Allied Equipment, as well as Long Term Maintenance Agreements (LTM's) and other support services offered by MH Equipment Company, while fostering Customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth, enhance gross profit, and expand market share while meeting established targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong Customer relationships through regular sales visits and effective communication.
  • Identify prospective clients and develop strategic action plans to convert them into Customers.
  • Assist Customers with product demonstrations, application assessments, and transition needs.
  • Follow up on all Customer inquiries from various sources.
  • Engage in product promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee custom programs implemented at assigned accounts.
  • Initiate and manage quotations and orders in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to maintain accurate Customer information and documentation.
  • Address and resolve Customer concerns or complaints promptly.
  • Support account terms and assist with collections as necessary.
  • Participate in determining appropriate credits and returns.
  • Strengthen vendor relationships by supporting initiatives and collaborating with their representatives.
  • Attend and contribute to all sales and Company meetings.
  • Engage in Company-sponsored training sessions to enhance sales techniques and technical knowledge.
  • Prepare budgets, action plans, summaries, and reports as required by management.
  • Maintain regular communication with inside sales teams and management.
  • Present a professional image in appearance and conduct.
  • Adhere to Company and Sales Department policies and procedures.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of the Territory, Markets, and Competitors.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in industrial sales, preferably in material handling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating honesty, ethics, and integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities.
  • Proficient in time and territory management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Working Conditions:

Flexibility to meet Customer needs, which may involve working beyond a standard 40-hour week, including some overnight travel and weekend commitments. A reliable vehicle is necessary for travel within the territory. The primary office location will be the designated Branch office. This position is exempt from overtime pay.
