Position Title: Territory Manager
Key Responsibilities:
The Territory Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales of product lines at the retail level. This position involves identifying potential clients, establishing relationships, and providing ongoing support to retail partners.
Core Duties include:
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets as set by the company and/or Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
- Maintaining a standard work schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend commitments.
- Conducting a minimum of 8 in-person sales meetings weekly, processing 10 orders from different retailers, and acquiring new accounts as per specified objectives.
- Managing the entire product range and achieving distinct revenue targets for both Willow Tree and Portfolio lines.
- Engaging in strategic account planning and sales forecasting within the assigned territory.
- Maintaining effective communication with customers, RSM, and internal teams regarding sales and marketing matters.
- Providing weekly written reports to the RSM detailing successes, challenges, and opportunities within the territory.
- Making fair and equitable decisions regarding account management and distribution.
- Systematically covering the entire assigned territory by visiting retailers.
- Utilizing technology tools such as Sales Force Automation Systems, EMUN, Concur, and Microsoft Office Suite effectively.
- Participating in relevant trade shows and sales meetings as directed by the RSM or Director of Sales.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are essential for this role:
- Experience in outside sales, preferably in the Gift Industry.
- Understanding of the sales process, including needs assessment, account qualification, and contract negotiation.
- Ability to create innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Strong presentation and follow-up skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to specific sales methodologies.
- Experience with independent retail and regional key accounts.
- Strong decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn and effectively use additional technology tools.
- A self-motivated individual with a strong desire for success.
