POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Vice President, Technology Banking Executive is primarily responsible for cultivating significant new client relationships within a designated region or industry sector while also addressing the needs of existing clients. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the bank's diverse product offerings and the ability to collaborate with specialized support teams when necessary. The SVP will play a key role in mentoring staff and collaborating with the team to achieve established financial objectives. Additionally, the Executive will engage with venture capital firms, technology, and life sciences companies, as well as other vital stakeholders within the entrepreneurial landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to team and individual origination efforts aimed at enhancing on-balance sheet deposits, loan commitments, outstanding loans, and non-interest income, while effectively managing credit risk associated with new and existing credits.
  • Utilize an established network of venture capital and entrepreneurial contacts to independently generate new loan clients.
  • Maintain primary day-to-day relationships with key contacts within the designated ecosystem.
  • Identify high-quality deals and guide them through the underwriting and credit committee processes.
  • Support the portfolio management team in nurturing existing relationships and enhancing their value.
  • Assist in adding loans, deposits, and go-to-market products to current relationships.
  • Oversee documentation, negotiate terms, and finalize credit requests with minimal assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate regulations and training requirements.
  • Participate in the development of junior Bankers and Analysts within your sphere of influence.
  • Engage in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations, goal-setting, and provide guidance.
  • Manage, mentor, and train team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in venture technology or life sciences banking and/or financial services.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude, even under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and relationships simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large client accounts.
  • Role involves prolonged periods of sitting or standing in front of a computer.
  • Frequent use of office equipment requiring repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • Light physical work, including moving objects up to 20 pounds.

SALARY RANGE: $189,000 - $252,634.72 USD; compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
