Position Summary:

The Vice President of Process Development will take charge of the advancement, refinement, and scaling of manufacturing processes for perovskite solar cells. This position requires a strategic visionary with extensive knowledge in process engineering, materials science, and photovoltaic technology. The successful candidate will foster innovation, improve process efficiency, and guarantee the scalability of our production systems to achieve our ambitious growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Direction: Formulate and execute a detailed process development strategy to enhance perovskite solar cell manufacturing capabilities. Collaborate with executive leadership to synchronize process development objectives with overarching company goals and market demands.
  • Process Enhancement: Direct initiatives to refine existing manufacturing processes for perovskite solar cells, concentrating on yield enhancement, cost efficiency, and performance optimization. Identify and adopt cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to promote continuous improvement.
  • Research and Innovation: Supervise the research and development of novel processes, materials, and techniques to boost the efficiency and scalability of solar cell production. Cultivate a culture of innovation by remaining informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics.
  • Team Development: Assemble, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of process engineers and scientists, providing direction and support to ensure successful project outcomes. Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams to maintain alignment and integration of process development initiatives.
  • Project Oversight: Create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring the timely achievement of objectives and compliance with quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all process development activities adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. Implement and uphold stringent quality control measures to maintain product excellence and reliability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Relay progress, challenges, and achievements to internal stakeholders, including executive management and other departments. Represent the organization in external forums, conferences, and partnerships related to process development and manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in process development within the photovoltaic or semiconductor sector, demonstrating a strong history of leadership and innovation.
  • Expertise: Proven proficiency in Perovskite, thin film, or silicon solar cell technology, encompassing materials processing, thin-film deposition, and scalability challenges.
  • Skills: Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities; proficiency in process modeling and simulation tools; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership: Established ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational transformation.
