Program Overview

The Investment Banking Summer Intern Program at Barclays offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of finance and technology. As a summer intern, you will be immersed in our culture and work on real projects that provide a comprehensive business overview.

You will have the chance to select your desired business area and take on immediate responsibility, guided by a mentor and line manager. This 8-10 week journey will allow you to forge connections, explore new horizons, and unlock growth opportunities.

As a Banking intern, you will work with various Investment Banking teams, advising a broad range of corporate clients. You will deliver holistic, structured solutions that help our clients achieve their goals, whether through mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, structured solutions, or risk management.

You will spend the summer learning the art and science behind executing a transaction, working on live deals and deal proposals. You may also work on projects that include:

  • Financial analysis and modeling
  • Valuation
  • Industry research
  • Client due diligence
  • Developing written materials, including offering memoranda and new business presentations

Requirements

To be considered for this program, you must be pursuing an MBA degree, graduating between December and June 2026. You will have a keen interest in business and finance and a curiosity to learn. Work Environment

You will be working at our state-of-the-art office in Menlo Park, easily accessible to public transportation. Our office is located in the heart of the city, providing a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Compensation

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information for this position is $175,000.00. This includes only base salary or base hourly rate and does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
