Position Overview:


The Senior Vice President of Facilities and Construction is accountable for overseeing all elements of maintenance and construction for attractions and facilities at Cedar Fair parks.


Compensation:
$136,500 - $182,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Facilities and Construction Division, ensuring effective communication with team members across all levels of the organization as well as with external partners such as vendors. Employ diverse communication methods, including verbal, written, and data analysis.

Conduct weekly meetings with departmental supervisors to guarantee alignment with both local and corporate objectives, as well as adherence to all Cedar Fair policies.

Maintain the safety of both Guests and Employees while on-site at the parks and associated facilities.

Formulate and enforce safety protocols that comply with all established safety and housekeeping standards set forth by the organization and relevant regulatory bodies.

Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

Oversee the seamless operation of all Attractions, Seasonal Events, and Infrastructure through effective planning, maintenance, and repair strategies.

Establish guest service standards and policies for the operational division, fostering innovation in guest experiences and enhancing overall satisfaction.

Develop, implement, and monitor Maintenance and Capital budgets, aligning financial plans with the organization’s revenue goals, cost management, and profitability objectives.

Collaborate with other Cedar Fair properties as necessary, facilitating cross-site coordination and contributing to corporate goal development and execution.

Engage with local, State, and Federal regulatory agencies through both verbal and written correspondence.

Direct the activities of a diverse workforce, including recruitment, training, scheduling, task assignments, and disciplinary measures to ensure a safe and efficient team.

Propose and execute ongoing Capital Asset Maintenance and Infrastructure projects. Negotiate contracts with division vendors.

Utilize strategic and innovative thinking to lead teams in the development, production, promotion, and financial sustainability of the organization’s entertainment offerings.


Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Industrial Technology is required, with a preference for Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is preferred.
A valid Driver's License is required.
Up to 5% travel may be necessary.
At least 5 years of management or leadership experience is required.
General knowledge of engineering principles and bio-dynamics, as well as familiarity with ASTM and California DOSH regulations concerning amusement rides.
Extensive understanding of the Amusement Industry, including applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
