JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Vice President, Banker is primarily responsible for cultivating significant new client relationships within a designated region or business sector while also addressing the needs of existing clients as necessary. The SVP Banker will possess the capability to market all products offered by the bank and will know when to engage specialist support teams for additional assistance. This role includes mentoring staff and collaborating with the team to achieve established financial objectives. The Banker will focus on promoting the bank and establishing connections with venture capital firms, technology or life sciences companies backed by venture funding, and other vital contacts within the entrepreneurial landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to both team and individual origination efforts to effectively increase on-balance sheet deposits, loan commitments, outstanding loans, and non-interest income, while managing credit risk for both new and recently onboarded credits.
  • Utilize an established personal network of venture capital and entrepreneurial ecosystem contacts to independently generate new loan clients.
  • Maintain primary day-to-day relationships with key contacts within your designated ecosystem.
  • Identify high-quality deals and advocate for them throughout the underwriting and credit committee processes.
  • Support the portfolio team in managing existing relationships and enhancing their value.
  • Assist the portfolio team in integrating loans, deposits, and go-to-market products into existing relationships.
  • Oversee documentation, negotiate terms, and finalize credit requests with minimal assistance.
  • Comply with all corporate compliance and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to compliance training and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in the development of less experienced Bankers and Analysts within your sphere of influence.
  • Engage in interviewing and hiring processes.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations, goal setting, and counseling.
  • Manage, support, coach, and train staff members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Role involves prolonged periods of sitting or standing in front of a computer monitor.
  • Frequent use of a computer or office equipment, resulting in repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.
  • Light physical work may include moving objects up to 20 pounds.

SALARY RANGE: $189,000 - $252,634.72 USD; compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
