Position Overview

PeaceHealth is looking for a Dietitian I in the Nutrition Services department for a Part-Time, 0.80 FTE, Day role. The compensation for this position is $47.54, with the starting rate influenced by various factors such as education, experience, and applicable agreements.

Role Responsibilities

This role is essential in managing all facets of nutritional care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Key Duties

  • Effectively utilize the Nutrition Care Process, which includes conducting nutritional assessments, identifying nutritional diagnoses, implementing tailored nutrition interventions, and setting patient-specific goals while monitoring and evaluating outcomes.
  • Deliver nutrition education to patients and their families in both outpatient and inpatient environments, guided by evidence-based nutrition practice standards.
  • Provide consultative services to fellow healthcare providers and engage actively in interdisciplinary team discussions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in line with established policies and regulations.
  • When appropriate, refer patients to additional services, agencies, and community resources.
Qualifications
  • Ability to create, implement, and assess educational materials.
  • Current Medicare provider status number may be necessary.
  • Registered Dietitian or eligibility for registration (must pass the Registration Exam within 90 days).
  • Current licensure/certification as mandated by state regulations.
  • Registered Dietitian status required within 90 days of hire or must successfully complete the Registration Exam.
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field is required. Caregivers who obtained their RD license prior to 1/1/2024, when a bachelor's degree was sufficient, will be grandfathered in.
Work Environment
  • Work will primarily occur in a medical/hospital setting or office environment.
