Position Overview

PeaceHealth is in search of a Dietitian I - Nutrition Services for a Part-Time, 0.80 FTE, Day role. The compensation for this position is $47.54, with the hiring rate influenced by various factors such as education, training, and experience.

Role Responsibilities

This role is pivotal in managing all facets of nutritional care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Key Duties

  • Proficient application of the Nutrition Care Process, which includes nutrition evaluation, identifying nutritional issues, executing suitable nutrition interventions, and establishing patient-specific objectives, along with monitoring and assessing outcomes.
  • Utilizing evidence-based nutrition guidelines to deliver nutritional education to patients and their families in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
  • Providing consultation services to other healthcare practitioners and engaging in interdisciplinary team efforts.
  • Maintaining documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in compliance with established policies and regulations.
  • When appropriate, referring patients to additional services, agencies, and community resources.
Qualifications
  • Ability to create, implement, and assess educational materials.
  • Current Medicare provider status number may be necessary.
  • Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration (must pass the Registration Exam within 90 days).
  • Current licensure/certification as mandated by state regulations.
  • Registered Dietitian status required at hire or must pass the Registration Exam within 90 days.
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field is required. Caregivers who obtained their RD license prior to the change in educational requirements will be grandfathered.
Work Environment
  • Work primarily in a medical/hospital setting or office environment.
