Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Coordinator III to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. This role is responsible for supporting management in the billing and collection of accounts receivable for the Health System and/or resolving complex payer issues to completion on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and secure all appropriate financial information to maximize reimbursement for the Health System.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in billing and/or collection of at least one payer's billing practices, with a basic understanding of additional insurance payer's billing and collection practices.
  • Analyze and resolve debit and/or credit balance accounts.
  • Work as a team member and positively accept change throughout the Health System.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare billing and collection practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
