Human Resource ManagerLooking for a strong HR professional with strong leadership skill for a national manufacturer in Western, New York. This is the opportunity to lead a HR team in a large manufacturing facility with a growing organization that offers strong benefits and company culture Relocation offered Job Responsibilities:Plans and administers policies related to all phases of HR activitiesIdentifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, are in complianceRecruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positionsPlans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goalsOversees site compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Managers and monitors career pathing/performance management programsDevelops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulationsCoordinates training/educational activities for the facility. Assists departments with the development of training/educational curriculum and activitiesEmployee relations counseling including coaching and corrective action administrationEvaluates reports, decisions, and results in department in relation to established goalsRecommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvementsRequired Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Administration, Business, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.5+ years broad based HR generalist experience required.3+ years HR experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred5+ years
experience leading direct reporting team members is required.Strong understanding of HR practices in recruitment, organization development, policy administration, training, and employee relations.Strong business acumen.Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with company values.Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, investigation skills, HR technical knowledge in EEO, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and worker s compensation.High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems (Paylocity and UKG/Kronos preferred).Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Strong influence and facilitation skillsExperience managing organizational change.Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
