Position Description:

The Grant Monitor is responsible for ensuring that grant-funded programs are in compliance with proposal/contract objectives; grant/contract implementations are completed responsibly and ethically, following the policies and regulations of grantors and the Agency; reporting data-related tasks (data collection, quality control, and data entry), and assisting with program development and computer usage. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor funder and agency policies and requirements with accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Maintain up-to-date documentation and records appropriate for reporting all aspects of grant monitoring.
  3. Complete data entry tasks accurately and in a timely fashion.
  4. Attend and/or conduct monthly meetings with grant program staff to provide feedback about grants and contracts. Document meeting proceedings as required.
  5. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual data uploads as required by the funder and/or the Agency.
  6. Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
  7. Assist in preparing and coordinating site/monitoring visits.
  8. Write handbooks/manuals required by the grant/contractor.
  9. Assist with renewal proposals for grants and contracts currently assigned.
  10. Alert the project manager and/or evaluator to grant monitoring problems. 
  11. Design and maintain databases using relevant software (e.g., SPSS, Teleform, Excel, or Access)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR
  • Be actively enrolled in a college/university at the senior level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months experience working in a social service capacity/setting highly desirable.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to provide effective communication regarding grant status.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Work Conditions:

  • Environment: Hybrid: Office, Remote
  • Range of Schedule:  Mon – Fri, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Travel: None
