Our key focus areas include education, disaster preparedness, health & wellness, housing, and community support initiatives.Position OverviewThe Grants Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient management and compliance of federal and foundation grants, playing a critical role in maintaining EHCEC’s fiscal integrity. This position will oversee the entire grant lifecycle, from research and application to reporting and compliance monitoring. Working closely with the Controller, the Grants Manager ensures that all grants comply with federal regulations, including CFR Title 2, Part 200 (Uniform Guidance), and other funder requirements.Key Responsibilities
  1. Grant Compliance Management
    • Oversee the administration of federal and foundation grants, ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory and compliance guidelines.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with CFR Title 2, Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Develop and maintain internal systems to manage grant-related documentation, reporting deadlines, and financial tracking.
  2. Financial Oversight and Coordination
    • Work closely with the Controller to ensure proper accounting of grant funds and expenditures.
    • Review and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with approved grant proposals.
    • Assist with grant audits and provide documentation as required by auditors or funders.
  3. Grant Research and Application
    • Identify and research potential funding opportunities that align with EHCEC’s mission and strategic goals.
    • Collaborate with program staff to develop and submit grant applications, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
  4. Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare and submit accurate, timely financial and programmatic reports to funders in accordance with grant requirements.
    • Ensure all grant records, including financials and reports, are organized and easily accessible for audits and internal reviews.
  5. Internal Training and Process Development
    • Train and support staff on grant-related compliance, financial procedures, and reporting requirements.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to streamline grant management and ensure compliance across departments.
  6. Collaboration with Stakeholders
    • Serve as the primary point of contact with funders, responding to queries and providing updates as needed.
    • Collaborate with program managers, development staff, and other departments to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of grant deliverables and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing federal and foundation grants, particularly focused on compliance and financial oversight.
    • Knowledge of CFR Title 2, Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) and other relevant federal regulations governing grants.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with grant management software.
    • Excellent communication and project management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in nonprofit grant management with a focus on community-based or social service organizations.
  • Familiarity with foundation and federal grant application processes and compliance requirements.
