Job Summary:

The SVP/Non-Profit Relationship Manager will work independently to develop new and additional deposits & bank services revenue. The SVP will be responsible for achieving target deposit totals with an emphasis on the Non-Profit sector, jointly with achieving cash management and loan referral targets and will serve as a Community Relations officer for HBC by partnering with organizations supporting the sector. Additionally, the SVP will manage giving budget and organize events to support the non-profit community in conjunction with driving the success of the Heritage Hearts volunteerism and community involvement program at Heritage Bank of Commerce. 

Pay Range: Base Compensation is dependent upon role, experience, and skill set: Min- $143,798/YR  Max- $239,663/YR

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to our business clients and actively develop new client relationships:
    • Manage a portfolio of deposit clients with an emphasis on the Non Profit sector and maintain ongoing visibility with client base through an aggressive retention & cross sell calling program
    • Work with clients to resolve account or service related problems, and with support services to ensure timely and accurate implementation of all new business
    • Develop and maintain referral relationships to promote new business development
    • Actively seek all types of loans for purposes of referral to appropriate group levels
    • Prepare credit authorizations and recommend ACH limits for deposit only clients
    • Work with Cash Management specialist to provide competitive and complete banking services to new and existing clients
    • Offer other Bank products and services as appropriate
  • Conduct business development and actively lead and engage in community investment:
    • Act as Bank representative at civic and/or industry meeting or function
    • Partner with organizations that support the Non Profit sector ensuring HBC is viewed as a community leader in this sector
    • Drive Heritage Hearts, volunteerism and community involvement program at Heritage Bank, ensuring each region is represented and the company’s commitment to each community is fulfilled
    • Act as a Bank representative at civic and/or industry meeting or function
    • Participate in community activities and civic organizations to generate new business
    • Support Bank's community and CRA lending initiatives
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Professional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience
  • A demonstrated record of success with 7+ years of business banking experience
  • Experience in leading community involvement initiatives and events  
  • Proven time management and problem solving skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and make necessary decisions within a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work in an autonomous manner
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to foster a collaborate team environment 

Compliance Responsibilities

The employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of job-related laws and regulations and must maintain current compliance knowledge by attending compliance related training seminars and staff meetings and by reading pertinent compliance related materials.
