Position: Production Worker

Location: Avon Lake, OH

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

We are currently seeking a entry-level production worker to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and learning. Under supervision, this role involves working in the machine shop areas, including loading and unloading, deburring, bending, and handling material. The production worker ensures production standards are met, work is completed efficiently and safely, and provides a platform to expand your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn to read detailed production instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpreting and translating engineering designs and documentation.
  • Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Safely load and unload material into the machine, inspect material for defects or damage, and report any issue to the supervisor or lead.
  • Use of deburring machines to remove sharp edges, burrs, and excess material from the metal parts ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Operating bending machine and equipment to shape metal and inspect finished product for accuracy according to specifications.
  • Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring function, quality, and compliance with cosmetic specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Learn how to abide by OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to problem solve and think analytically.
  • Read and comprehend simple verbal and written instructions and work in a team environment.
  • The ability to learn production equipment quickly and safely.
  • Understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations.
  • Walking or standing on the Plant floor.
  • Frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift/or move up to 25-30 pounds without help.
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 0-1 year of manufacturing experience
