Prime Machine is seeking an experienced Machining Operations Supervisor to oversee our dynamic workshop. If you possess extensive machining expertise and a strong leadership presence, this position could be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Motivate and guide a team of machinists and operators to achieve production targets while cultivating a supportive work atmosphere.
  • Offer mentorship and support to enhance team members' skills and overall performance.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations within the machine shop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project delivery.
  • Create and implement production schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet client demands.

Quality Control:

  • Implement and maintain strict quality assurance protocols to ensure the highest levels of precision and quality in manufactured parts.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to swiftly address any quality concerns.

Resource Optimization:

  • Enhance resource distribution, including personnel, machinery, and materials, to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Track and manage costs to remain within budgetary limits.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for process enhancements, implementing strategies to increase productivity and decrease waste.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and technological innovations, recommending and applying relevant upgrades.

Safety Standards:

  • Ensure a secure working environment by enforcing safety regulations and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety assessments and provide thorough safety training for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a leadership role within a machining environment.
  • Deep knowledge of machining techniques, CNC programming, and tooling.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire diverse teams effectively.
  • Understanding of industry regulations and standards.
