Machining Operations Supervisor

Prime Machine is seeking an experienced Machining Operations Supervisor to oversee our dynamic machine shop. If you possess extensive knowledge in machining and a strong leadership background, this position may be an excellent match for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Guide and motivate a skilled team of machinists and operators to achieve production targets while cultivating a supportive workplace.
  • Offer coaching and support to enhance team members' skills and overall performance.

Operational Management:

  • Manage daily operations within the machine shop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project delivery.
  • Create and implement production timelines, prioritizing tasks to meet client demands.

Quality Control:

  • Implement and maintain stringent quality assurance protocols to ensure the highest level of precision and quality in manufactured parts.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to swiftly resolve any quality-related concerns.

Resource Optimization:

  • Enhance resource distribution, including personnel, machinery, and materials, to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Oversee budget management and control expenses effectively.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for operational enhancements, implementing strategies to increase productivity and decrease waste.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and technological innovations, suggesting and applying relevant upgrades.

Safety Management:

  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety assessments and provide thorough safety training for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a machining environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of machining techniques, CNC programming, and tooling.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire diverse teams effectively.
  • Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements.
