OUR MISSION

From adding ministries to staffing, from building facilities to adding programs, from stewardship to membership, it has all been for the purpose of being obedient to the commission of Christ.
YOUR ROLE IN OUR MISSION
This position is responsible for assisting the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, employee engagement, audits and compliance, benefits, leave administration, and enforcing church policies and practices.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments using our LMS system. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Handles onboarding (make calls & send out administrative emails to new hire, submit background checks and drug screen info, send out internal emails for email/office/phone/computer setup, add benefits & new hire orientation)
- Assists with implementing and administering employee engagement programs (i.e. recognition, appreciation). Keeps employees informed and updated regularly using the HRIS portals and onsite job boards.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assists with offboarding procedures (i.e. exit interviews, system access, benefit termination etc).
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Reconciles and processes monthly invoices (i.e. medical, dental, vision, life, and building insurance) and various departmental expense reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
