Our client located on the North side of Indianapolis is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a thriving and rapidly growing company. The Human Resource Manager will operate with a hands-on mindset responsible for the administration of Human Resource functions. This position takes a leadership role in developing a culture and creating resources that enable employees to perform to company goals. The Human Resource Manager works closely with the Senior Leadership team to build a supportive and fair environment for all associates. This position manages key human resource functions including: HR policy and procedure, tracking trending and reporting employment related information and trends, compensation, benefits, recruitment and onboarding.


Responsibilities:

HR Policy and Procedure

  • Coordinates with Executive leadership to develop and implement personnel policies and procedures;
  • Updates the Employee handbook and other policies and procedures to comply with applicable laws.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Manages the compensation and benefits systems and processes with PEO.
  • Ensure employment, benefit and compensation related information is collected, calculated, updated and filed accurately and efficiently with PEO.

Employment Records

  • Ensures filing system for all employee files is maintained and that employee files are in compliance with applicable State or Federal laws.
  • Coordinate the development and review of job descriptions.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Works closely with management team to assist in and advance all recruitment and hiring, including personnel requisition process and job postings. Handles all new hire orientation and hiring paperwork.
  • Collaborates with corporate communication to utilize company websites, social media, newsletters and scheduled e-newsletters.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related area is required/
  • Seven plus years’ comprehensive human resources generalist experience, on compliance, compensation and benefits, recruiting and onboarding.
  • 4 plus years of HR supervision experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • The ability to give oral and written presentations.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Interest in expanding knowledge into various facets within the scope of human resources.
  • Experience working with cost analysis of building comprehensive HR function internally.
