Human Resources Generalist

Purpose
The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, carrying out responsibilities Human Resource
Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, safety, and employment.
Essential Functions
Weight of associated position responsibility, duty or task to successful performance:
- 30% Manage recruiting for approved open positions
- 20% Support the administration and communication of benefit programs to employees
- 10% Document employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
- 10% Document and periodically audit compensation and benefits administration
- 10% Support compliance reporting
- 10% Participate in the development and delivery of employee training, safety, welfare, wellness and health programs
- 10% Track and report on Human Resources activities
- Assist with committees and special projects

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or
without reasonable accommodation.
- Self-starts work projects and sustain workflow with little supervision

- Proficient in computer applications, ie Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Ability to maintain a confidential environment and handle confidential materials
Required Qualifications
The required qualifications necessary in terms of education, course concentration, work experience, technical knowledge and desired advanced certifications.
- Prior experience in an office setting
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred qualifications desired in terms of education, course concentration, work experience, technical knowledge and desired advanced certifications.
- 2 or more years of general Human Resources education or experience
Supportive Functions
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Addressing vendor issues
- Collaborate with Department Leaders to prioritize projects and recruiting
