Description

SUMMARY:

The Recruiting and Human Resources Assistant will support the Human Resources recruiting function, ensuring that all assigned recruitment processes and procedures are effectively completed, as well as provide support for other HR areas including, but not limited to, compliance, compensation, payroll, training, data management, and general HR administration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform thorough active searches and sourcing of candidates, on Indeed and LinkedIn, by using keyword and/or Boolean search strings
  • Conduct an effective review of applications and resumes on Paycom, Indeed, and LinkedIn, accurately identifying qualified candidates
  • Conduct pre-screening phone interviews with candidates, provide initial company information, and determine the suitability of the applicant.
  • Respond to candidate emails, voicemails, and phone calls in a timely manner
  • Occasionally create accurate candidate summaries and submit them, along with the resume, to management teams for review; schedule in-person or virtual interviews, with selected candidates and hiring teams
  • Follow up with hiring teams on interviewed candidates, determining the next steps forward in the hiring process
  • Review all activities relating to the public, customers, and companies, to avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the agency business and industry

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Working knowledge of hiring practices and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Excellent PC skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Organized, with effective time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment
  • Self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues and managers, across all levels
  • Ability to promote, and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies, and the Agency
  • Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-3 Years previous Human Resources/Recruiting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS AND REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:
  • Fast-paced, multi-tasking, office environment with periodic high disruption and changing priorities
  • Ability to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequently
