Description

The Events & Tradeshow Coordinator is responsible for multiple facets of Skeeter's events and tradeshow marketing program. This will range from final pictures of trucks to marketing brochures to the online content circulated on social media and our website. This is a leadership position that requires the Events & Tradeshow Coordinator to understand the art of marketing but does not necessarily have to do the content creation. This position is, however, responsible for the timely delivery of marketing material by the marketing team for all Skeeter events and tradeshows. Whether onsite or offsite events, the Events & Tradeshow Coordinator is responsible for the organization and execution of tasks. These duties shall include capturing factory truck deliveries, offsite tradeshow events, special city events, social media initiatives, and any other marketing-related deliverables. Having the skills to work with a team of artistic marketing professionals and juggle multiple tasks to get the job done will be key to your success.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for these deliverables at the factory:
    • Marketing customer final truck inspections
    • Showcasing action footage of the factory truck building process
    • Capturing team building and employee celebrations
  • Responsible for these deliverables offsite:
    • Truck action footage
    • Tradeshow footage
  • Responsible for related materials:
    • Materials to support events, which include brochures and print media for all Skeeter content.
    • Merchandise design and procurement for tradeshow and factory events.
    • Coordinating promotional campaigns for outside events
  • Shall act as the primary point of contact for trade show bookings and scheduling.
  • Point person for factory event planning, including internal employee fun events or formal sales events.
  • Assist with distributing digital Marketing assets to the dealership network for their Sales events.
  • Brand image management and implementation, keeping it fresh and updated regularly.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • Experience in customer relations or experience dealing with sales.
  • Must possess good emotional intelligence skills.
  • Must have good self-leadership skills and be able to lead others.
  • Must communicate effectively with the team, in person or remotely.
  • Able to work with a small team of marketing content creators as the team grows.
  • Able to travel 25% to 30% of the time to support Sales with Marketing initiatives.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including all Microsoft products and analytical tools.
  • High proficiency with time management and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of trade show planning or event planning is a plus.
  • The ability to work at the factory and from home is a possible balanced workweek option.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Can occasionally be asked to help entertain customers with dinners or other social events.
  • Must physically work with the rest of the Sales/Marketing team to prepare for marketing events.
  • Must keep up with an annual calendar of required Marketing support attendance.
Education and/or Experience
  • AS or BS degree in Business, Marketing, PM, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • Experience working with a Marketing team.
  • Experience in custom fire truck apparatus is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a production factory setting is a plus.
  • Driving Ford Super-Duty size trucks is a plus.
  • Technical skills or understanding of automotive technology is a plus.
  • Experience in Firefighting or Emergency Services is a plus but not required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses.
