This position is responsible for supporting internal groups and external customer requests by coordinating and overseeing day-to-day operations in the Reinhart Technical Center Physical Testing and both the Large and Small-Scale Flammability Testing Laboratories. Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to demonstrate good laboratory practices including good recording of experiment work and project information tracking. Your additional responsibilities as a Research Engineer will include: Support Carpenter Co research groups by becoming a technical resource on testing methodology for a wide range of Carpenter Co products Monitor day to day operations in several key support laboratories and assist in hands on testing work when required (includes a large-scale flammability laboratory where mattress burning behavior is observed) Manage and organize maintenance and calibration schedules for testing equipment Continuously improve Material and Flammability laboratory performance by updating work instructions and training materials and also through research of new test practices #J-18808-Ljbffr
