As a Lead Research Chemist, you will play a pivotal role in the development and market introduction of innovative products. You will facilitate a cohesive integration of R&D, Business, Procurement, and other supply chain operations on a global scale, ensuring successful product launches, enhancing process efficiencies, and securing raw material supply.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Formulate new products by defining manufacturing processes based on initial laboratory studies, ensuring successful first-time production.
  2. Conduct conceptual process evaluations and economic feasibility assessments.
  3. Establish fundamental relationships between processing conditions and chemical reactions.
  4. Promote safe and effective research practices.
  5. Support structured processes to identify opportunities for product and process enhancements.
  6. Guide R&D teams during the early stages of product ideation to create testing strategies aligned with manufacturing processes.
  7. Ensure comprehensive ISO documentation is maintained for all quality-related activities and engage in ISO compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant process chemistry and engineering principles, typically gained through substantial experience in a research and development setting.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience directly related to the specific product or product category.
