Contribute to business growth and profitability efforts including business cost optimisation and performance improvement initiatives. Manage profitability through efficient cost base and resource allocation, ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L), cash flow and balance sheet of the business units, principals and brands. Performance Monitoring: Manage the delivery of monthly management reports including preparation of financial reviews and forecasts for monthly business reviews in accordance with Group requirements. Manage the review of profitability across the Business units both current and forecast. Manage and maintain mechanisms at contract level to track and report on key areas of financial and operational risk and opportunity impacting profit maximization. Manage annual business planning and budgeting at Business unit level. Manage the annual and multi-year business forecasts and trends analysis. Manage monthly budget discussions providing insights and analysis to the Business unit management to enable effective decision-making. Proactively manage gross profit margin, revenue, labour, COGS optimization and margin enhancing opportunities. Manage compliance to policies, procedures and processes. Manage functional optimization by leading process compliance and evaluation. Manage Business Financial Risk Management at Business unit levels. Support Group Audits in a timely manner and ensure that all agreed audit recommendations relating to finance and risk management, systems and processes are actioned appropriately. People Management Roles and Responsibilities: Lead the performance of the Divisional Commercial Finance Team aligned to the performance management cycle for the Group. Identify and assess training needs of team members to improve team efficiency. Guide, develop, inspire and motivate direct reports to enhance performance and quality of work. Ensure team compliance with Group standards, procedures and practices. Job Requirements Bachelor or Masters Degree with a professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA). Up to 8 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in Finance Business Partner role or similar role within the retail industry. Knowledge and Skills: Solid experience of leading commercial finance teams with relevant experience in Finance Business Partnering. Good depth and breadth in global retail organizations. Good commercial acumen. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems i.e.: Oracle/SAP, JDE, Hyperion etc. Strong influencing, leadership and interpersonal skills. Proven record of accomplishment in strategic analysis, planning, and execution. Ability to articulate complex scenarios and information. Proactive, collaborative and consultative in leadership style. Able to present financial concepts to non-financial audience. Proven record of accomplishment of leading teams through change. Excellent presentation and English communication skills both written and verbal. Additional Requirements: Self-motivated. Able to work under pressures and to strict deadlines.
