The Partner is expected to possess a profound understanding of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and apply these insights innovatively to meet varied client requirements. The individual will take charge of client engagements with minimal oversight, while still reporting to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the firm alongside the Managing Director and COO.
- Actively contribute to business origination by identifying client opportunities through networking events, direct outreach to potential companies, and leveraging an established network of referrals.
- Support business growth by participating in client presentations and leading pitches, ensuring thorough follow-up on all opportunities.
- Independently manage and oversee multiple projects and transactions from inception to completion.
- Oversee all phases of the sales process, ensuring successful outcomes for clients. This includes acting as the primary project manager, coordinating timelines, and guaranteeing the quality of all deliverables while maintaining awareness of all involved parties and advisors.
- Guide, mentor, and develop Associate Directors and Directors, contributing to the overall growth of the team.
- Engage in recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives for the Corporate Finance Team.
Candidate Profile:
- Fully qualified (CA, ACCA, or equivalent) or partially qualified with relevant practical experience.
- Possess another pertinent professional qualification or experience in related sectors such as banking or private equity.
- Have over 10 years of experience in M&A and/or financial due diligence.
- Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Maintain a robust network of contacts and demonstrate a commitment to networking and business development.
- Show strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to continuous professional development.
- Exhibit flexibility in work and a willingness to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
