**Job summary**:
The Specialist, Core Collection Reference Files assists with the maintenance of the Production Files sub-collection. This position is responsible for various duties including processing collections, creating, and updating database records, preparing materials for digitization, assisting with tours, and performing public service. This is a part-time position in the Core Collection Reference Files Department of the Margaret Herrick Library and reports to the Supervisor, Production Files.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Sort, organize and process archival collections including advertising materials such as pressbooks, lobby cards, and promotional ephemera.
- Create and update Production Files and Works database records.
- Enter and update metadata for digitization projects.
- Assist with curation, set-up, and presentation for departmental library tours.
- Acquire and process digital press kits.
- Process Academy Awards documents.
- Clip online and hard copy publications.
- Perform public reference service.
- Additional department tasks and projects as assigned.
