Senior Blood Collection Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Blood Resources Division as a Senior Blood Collection Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in securing the nation's blood supply by ensuring a safe and adequate blood supply for public and private hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to donors at our blood collection centers, handling inquiries, assisting with appointment bookings, and managing feedback.
- Perform registration duties, including registering donors for donation and phlebotomy linking.
- Conduct haemoglobin testing and capping, including taking blood for haemoglobin tests, explaining deferral to donors if required, checking and sorting blood bags and sample tubes before passing them to the laboratory.
- Support blood collection teams with operational administrative tasks.
- Support blood collection processes, including assisting phlebotomists in whole blood collection and apheresis procedures.
- Conduct capping and haemoglobin testing, including taking blood for haemoglobin tests, explaining deferral to donors if required, checking and sorting blood bags and sample tubes before passing them to the laboratory.
- Comprehensive training and extensive learning and development opportunities.

- Minimum GCE N/O Level and above or equivalent.
- Experienced professionals exploring a mid-career switch are welcome to apply.
- Team members will be rostered to support morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts across a 5-day work week.
- Applicants with recognized phlebotomy skills and/or 2 years or more of working experience in similar settings will be considered for Senior Blood Collection Specialist positions.
