We are in search of enthusiastic individuals to become part of HSA's Blood Resources Division - Blood Bank team. In this essential role, you will contribute significantly to the security of the nation's blood supply. This position involves direct interaction with donors, and you will be responsible for key blood collection support activities within a collaborative and dynamic team environment. Your responsibilities may include working at established blood bank facilities or with mobile teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the initial point of contact for donors at our blood collection centers, addressing inquiries, assisting with appointment scheduling, and managing feedback.
- Carry out registration duties, including registering donors for blood donation and linking phlebotomy processes.
- Perform hemoglobin testing, provide explanations for deferrals when necessary, sort and check blood bags and sample tubes, and forward them to the laboratory.
- Assist the blood collection team with operational administrative follow-up tasks.
Additional Duties for Senior Blood Collection Support Specialists:
In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, Senior Blood Collection Support Specialists will assist in the blood collection processes. Candidates with limited experience in Phlebotomy are encouraged to apply, as training will be provided prior to deployment.
- Support blood collection operations within donation rooms.
- Assist in Whole Blood and Apheresis procedures, including preparation of blood bags and donor registration.
- Conduct hemoglobin testing and manage blood bags and sample tubes.

Qualifications:
- Minimum educational requirement of GCE N/O Level or equivalent.
- Experienced professionals seeking a career transition are welcome to apply.
- Rostered shifts will include mornings, afternoons, and weekends across a 5-day work week; no night shifts are required.
- Applicants with Phlebotomy skills or a minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles will be prioritized for Senior Blood Collection Support Specialist positions.
Our blood banks operate six days a week during standard hours, with variations in operating times.
