**Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose)**:
The Human Resources and Leave of Absence Administrator will assist with the duties of all facets of the Human Resources department and support associates across multiple facilities and states, with a focus on leave of absence management and I9 compliance.

**Recipe for Success (Responsibilities)**:

- Serving as the first point of contact for associate inquiries and ensuring 24-hour response time
- Full cycle leave of absence management for all U.S. facilities, partnering with the third party vendor
- I-9 management and compliance
- Department filing and maintenance of employment records, including implementation of an electronic filing system
- Maintaining badge system database, issuing all associate, visitor, and temporary badges, and updating badge access due to transfers, terminations, shift changes, addition of facilities, lost badges, etc.
- Administration of new hire performance appraisal process
- Processing weekly separations
- Responding to unemployment claims
- Responding to verifications of employment
- Conducting new hire orientations
- Administration of new hire benefit eligibility and enrollment tracking
- Ensuring all labor law posters are up to date and in compliance at all U.S. facilities
- Providing direct support to the HR Director and other department projects as required
- Providing back up support to benefits, payroll, and other HR roles
- Distributing department mail

**Ingredients Required (Qualifications)**:

- 1+ year of general HR experience
- 1+ year of leave of absence administration
- 1+ year of I9 compliance and knowledge of latest regulations
- 1+ year of working with an HRIS
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
