Human Resource Manager

Citnalta Construction Corp. is seeking an Human Resources Manager to develop and execute best-in-class human resource processes to support Citnalta’s work.
This mid-level role requires a diverse human resource background. The individual will have experience developing and implementing company-wide human resource processes and be comfortable with change management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist leadership team in hiring through interview participation (as necessary) and recruiting process
- Act as an internal and external recruiter and be the primary point person to external recruitment firms
- Refine and oversee onboarding including follow up with supervisors and new employees to ensure engagement by new employees
- Refine offboarding processes
- Create talent management plan that supports Citnalta’s long term strategic initiatives
- Identify internal talent gaps and develop a plan to improve those gaps
- Participate in developing education and training for Citnalta employees
- Counsel managers and employees on performance management techniques and career path planning for staff (Oversee Thrive365 talent management review process)
- Develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies, including working along with Citnalta’s Events and Communications team to plan and execute events geared toward maintaining a positive corporate culture
- Ensure Citnalta is compliant with various human resource requirements (local, state, federal) and implements any statutory changes into the organization
- Interprets HR policies and employment law for employees and managers, and coaches them to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and compliance.
- Evaluate and participate in review of various employee benefit, compensation, and retention policies (paid leave, PTO)
- Attend career fairs at universities and workforce outreach sessions
- Manage the summer internship process including working with management on intern placement and summer capstone projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, PHR or other human resource certifications preferred
- 10 years minimum human resource experience
- Construction, Architecture or Engineering industry experience preferred
- Tangible and specific experience in development and implementation of human resource and talent management plans
- This position is an in-office position in Bohemia, NY and may require employee to visit local NYC project sites/teams approximately 20% of the time
