Position Overview
As a Human Resources Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining employee records and managing HR-related processes. Your responsibilities will include:

Employee Management
- Ensure accurate processing of employee changes within the HRIS and maintain organized file systems.

Reporting
- Generate and compile various reports from the database as required by management.

Benefits Communication
- Enhance employees' understanding of benefit programs through regular communications and support during inquiries.

Insurance Liaison
- Act as a key point of contact with insurance carriers, fostering effective relationships with client representatives.

Problem-Solving
- Keep management informed of potential issues and recommend/implement appropriate solutions.

Leave Management
- Oversee the management of leaves of absence, providing support to both employees and vendors.

Case File Management
- Create and maintain comprehensive case files for FMLA, PFL, disability, and Worker's Compensation within assigned programs.

Training Development
- Design and deliver training sessions on various Human Resources topics, including New Staff Orientation.

Performance Evaluation Tracking
- Monitor the completion of performance evaluations and provide coaching to managers on the evaluation process.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with six years of experience, or ten years of relevant HR experience in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with a Human Resource Management System (HRIS) is essential; familiarity with UKG Pro and Workforce Management is preferred.
- Knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations is required.
- Experience in administering benefits and compensation programs, along with other HR initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.

- Must demonstrate a high level of discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential employee information, showcasing superior emotional intelligence.
- Willingness to travel to various program sites as needed.
