Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at AHRC Suffolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining employee changes, creating reports, and driving employee understanding of benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain employee changes by processing requests within the HRIS and file system.
  • Create and compile reports from the database as requested.
  • Drive employee understanding of benefit programs by generating communications and supporting employees as situations arise.
  • Act as liaison with insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives.
  • Keep management advised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.
  • Oversee leave of absence management, including employee and vendor support.
  • Create and maintain employee FMLA, PFL, disability, and Worker's Comp case files within assigned programs.
  • Create and present trainings on Human Resources-related topics, including New Staff Orientation.
  • Track completion of performance evaluations within assigned programs and coach managers on process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or applicable field plus 3 years' experience.
  • Associate's degree plus six years' experience.
  • Ten years human resource experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of experience using a Human Resource Management System (HRIS) is required; UKG Pro and Workforce Management preferred.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits/compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to display a high level of discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential employee information with superior emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to travel to various program sites, as needed.
