**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and support department Windows and Mac computers, mobile devices, and other

technology (such as printers and copiers).
- Install, configure, and upgrade OS/software to ensure compliance and security.
- Facilitate department alignment with the University's IT security policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported technology issues, escalating resolution to central IT resources and support as needed.

- Account creation, system monitoring, triaging tickets, and resetting passwords.
- Consult on computer replacement options and procure and set up new computers per standard guidelines.
- Oversee asset life-cycle management for department technology, including maintaining accurate database records, acting on refresh notifications, and recovering/retiring devices within expected time frames.
- Maintain accurate inventory through SerivceNow, Jamf, and Intune.
- Manage tracking devices and software upgrades for staff and shared computers.
- Prepare equipment for surplus.
- Work on special IT projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
**Essential Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of experience in administration, maintenance, and user support of MacOS and Windows.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to make connections between similar problems.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build good working relationships with people of diverse personalities and professional backgrounds.
- A strong customer service focus.
- The ability to work independently, self-motivate, and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is essential.
- Ability to research hardware and software issues in a thorough manner.
- Ability to follow up on open items and complete tasks in a timely manner including meeting deadlines and anticipating and addressing problems and delays.
- Flexibility in adjusting work schedule to accommodate priority needs, downtime and emergencies.
- Understanding of and experience with TCP/IP networking and related protocols.
- The ability to keep abreast of new technologies including computer software and hardware, smart phones, and peripheral devices is a must for this position.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to uphold the commitment to Department of Athletics mission of Education Through Athletics.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- A+, MCP, MCSE, Apple and/or MCSA certifications.
- Familiarity with audio-visual tools and equipment.
- Experience with Jamf, Intune, and ServiceNow.
- Previous experience providing support in a higher education setting.
- Experience providing technology support for a mid
- or large-sized organization.
