Job Description: The Gastrointestinal Oncology Service in Division of Solid Tumor Oncology the Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time early career investigator in Gastroesophageal Cancer Translational Research. This physician-scientist, appointed as Debbie’s Dream Foundation Gastric Cancer Investigator, would focus exclusively on patient care, research, and education for esophageal and gastric cancers. This faculty would have one year of protected research time focused on biomarker development, laboratory, and translational research in gastroesophageal cancer with Dr. Yelena Janjigian's, Chief of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Service, mentorship to advance translational studies in gastroesophageal cancer.
 
Cutting-Edge Research : Contribute to highly productive research programs leading over 25 clinical trials, including major contributions to FDA approvals of groundbreaking treatments like nivolumab, pembrolizumab/trastuzumab, and trastuzumab deruxtecan for gastroesophageal cancers.
Janjigian, an experienced leader in the field, and collaborate with a diverse team of experts dedicated to advancing cancer care.
Impactful Work: Your research efforts will directly impact patient outcomes, driving innovation and progress in the fight against gastroesophageal cancers.
MD and/or PhD in relevant field (e.g., oncology, translational medicine, molecular biology)
Strong passion for translational research and advancing cancer therapeutics
