Job Title: Registered Nurse - Surgical Specialty

Hours per Shift: 12 Hours, 3 Days a Week

Experience: 1 year of experience required; Stepdown or Medsurg experience preferred

License: Current RN License required, eNLC accepted

Certifications: ACLS and BLS (CPR) by the American Heart Association

Must-Have: RN License, ACLS, BLS, English proficiency

Description:
Under general supervision, the registered nurse will provide competent nursing care in a hospital setting to a diverse group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Responsibilities include documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments, assisting physicians during examinations and treatments, obtaining and monitoring physiological data, administering medication, and initiating IV infusions and blood products. The nurse will effectively communicate with patients and their families about care plans and hospital procedures, make necessary referrals, and delegate tasks to support staff. Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to handle cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Computer literacy and an Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program are required, with preference given to those with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
