**SCOPE OF POSITION** **:**

Responsible for leading and managing the drafting and related support functions for the business unit of responsibility. This includes directing the staff and business operations of the department to achieve best-in-class quality and accuracy of work performed, thereby resulting in a successful customer experience and setting high standards of performance and accountability that lead CS toward best in business for our industries.

+ Guides work group problem solving process toward continuous improvement of quality and productivity measures and expediently advises groups of any organizational changes that may affect their processes. Ensures that department goals are pertinent and clear to all. Helps group reach consensus of key issues. Prepares status reports concerning departmental activities and work in progress as required, including root cause analysis when needed

+ Ensures reports and dashboards for monitoring and measuring team success is as functional and effective as possible in order to provide guidance and confirmation to the success (or shortcomings) of team performance and improvement initiatives.

+ Identifies and provides training opportunities for those direct reports and respective team members of responsibility for the betterment of department skillsets (both within the business of responsibility as well as sharing those opportunities with other CS business unit groups of same).

+ Prepares status reports concerning departmental activities and work in progress as required.

+ Continually reviews, updates, and monitors key business policies, disciplines, and principles, including but not limited to ISO 14001, CTPAT and other regulatory practices to ensure adoption and practice from all team members.

**Qualifications**

**KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION** **:** (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

+ Bachelors degree from four-year college or technical school

+ Five or more years of successful experience related in depth experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with generating positive customer experiences.

+ Demonstrated experience leading teams of direct reports. Demonstrated skills for conflict resolution. Ability to hold direct reports accountable and hold difficult conversations and progressive disciplinary actions when applicable.

+ Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment is preferred.

+ Excellent oral/written communication skills.

+ Excellent customer relation and professionalism skills

+ Previous knowledge and experience using CAD, CRM & ERP software applications within the manufactured environment are preferred (SAP, BPCS, Salesforce.com, etc.)
