Nesco Resource is collaborating with a dynamic organization to enhance their engineering team by adding three skilled Controls Engineers. In this role, you will offer specialized technical knowledge focused on both new and existing product innovations, as well as process and production operations. It is essential to keep upper management informed of any challenges or issues by executing the following responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Formulate and oversee a comprehensive engineering timeline for all initiatives. Lead, coordinate, and guide team members to fulfill all objectives outlined in the master schedule.
  2. Draft specifications for equipment and tooling, while coordinating and supervising the design, construction, installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment in alignment with the master schedule.
  3. Generate all necessary documentation for capital investments and secure approvals from senior management.
  4. Establish manufacturing procedures that achieve all key performance indicators related to capital investment, production costs, waste reduction, product performance, delivery timelines, layout efficiency, safety, ergonomics, and quality standards.
  5. Develop comprehensive documentation for processes, including specifications, PFMEAs, risk assessments, process plans, PFDs, work combination tables, design evaluations, trial reports, work instructions, condition standards, and capacity tracking.
  6. Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives post-production.
  7. Actively work to create processes that minimize the risk of defects being passed to subsequent stages while addressing existing issues and sharing solutions with similar processes.
  8. Engage in problem-solving and investigation using root cause analysis and reporting methodologies.
  9. Execute all tasks in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and client standards and best practices.


SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient programming and troubleshooting skills with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and electronic control circuits.
Ability to develop complex PLC programs from the ground up and design/build the corresponding control circuits.
In-depth understanding of networking protocols, including Ethernet, CC-Link, and serial communication.
Experience in programming and instructing IAI's and six-axis robots.
Familiarity with writing macros and IP addressing.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey requirements to customers and suppliers.
Proven project management and leadership capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create technical presentations and documents.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, identify critical characteristics, lead design reviews, and develop PFMEAs.
Competence in leading and conducting root cause analysis for current and potential issues.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and the Toyota Production System.
Strong work ethic, accountability for projects, and a commitment to maintaining high productivity levels.
High aptitude for grasping engineering principles and new technologies.
Familiarity with TS and ISO standards.
Consistent attendance and punctuality.
Experience in a multicultural work environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with problem-solving abilities. Capability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to groups of team members.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Project.
Skilled in using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other drafting software.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Understanding of calculus, trigonometry, and other advanced mathematical concepts for analysis, design, and troubleshooting. Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability and validity, variance analysis, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and manage multiple variables.
