Nesco Resource is collaborating with a dynamic organization to expand their engineering team by adding three skilled Controls Engineers. In this role, you will offer technical guidance for the department, concentrating on both new and ongoing product innovations, as well as process and production enhancements. You will keep upper management updated on any challenges or issues by executing the following responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Develop and oversee a comprehensive engineering timeline for all initiatives. Lead, coordinate, and manage team members to meet all objectives outlined in the master schedule.
  2. Draft specifications for equipment and tooling, and supervise the design, construction, installation, start-up, and testing of new equipment in alignment with the master schedule.
  3. Generate all necessary documentation for capital investments and secure approvals from senior management.
  4. Establish manufacturing procedures that fulfill all key performance indicators related to capital investment, cost efficiency, waste reduction, product performance, delivery timelines, layout optimization, cycle time, operational efficiency, safety standards, ergonomic considerations, and quality benchmarks.
  5. Create comprehensive documentation for processes, including specifications, PFMEAs, risk assessments, process plans, PFDs, work combination tables, design evaluations, trial reports, work instructions, condition standards, and capacity tracking.
  6. Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives post-production.
  7. Actively work to design processes that minimize defects while implementing countermeasures for those that do occur, sharing insights with similar processes.
  8. Engage in problem-solving and investigative efforts using root cause analysis and reporting methodologies.
  9. Conduct all tasks in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and client protocols and best practices.


SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Proficient programming and troubleshooting skills with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and electronic control circuits.
- Capability to develop complex PLC programs from the ground up and design/build corresponding control circuits.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols such as Ethernet, CC-Link, and serial communication.
- Experience in programming and instructing IAI's and six-axis robots.
- Familiarity with writing macros and IP addressing.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey requirements to customers and suppliers.
- Proven project management and leadership abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create technical presentations and documents.
- Competence in reading technical drawings, identifying critical characteristics, leading design reviews, and developing PFMEAs.
- Ability to lead and perform root cause analysis for existing issues and potential risks.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and the Toyota Production System.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to ownership and responsibility for projects, maintaining high productivity levels.
- High aptitude for understanding engineering principles and new technologies.
- Familiarity with TS and ISO standards.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Experience in a multicultural work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with problem-solving capabilities. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence and to effectively present information to groups.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Project. Skilled in using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other drafting software.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Knowledge of calculus, trigonometry, and advanced mathematical concepts for analysis, design, and troubleshooting. Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability and validity, variance analysis, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and manage multiple variables.
