Position Summary:


The Director of Product Lines will coordinate the availability and marketability of material within The Product Lines group. This position will provide assessment of market demand, identification of opportunities for product enhancements, and will work closely with sales and marketing teams to promote and sell aircraft products effectively. The Director of Product Lines will stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to guide strategic decisions. This position will also have oversight of Product Line Managers, their daily activities and performance.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management of all airframe Product Line Managers.
  • Develop strategies to ensure growth.
  • Budget creation and goal setting for the department.
  • Assessment & Recognition of high turning material.
  • Maintain min/max inventory levels to support growth.
  • Recognize market opportunities due to AD/SB, forecasting trends in fleet movements.
  • Ensuring proper inventory configuration.
  • Build / utilize strategic relationships.
  • Collects, utilizes and supplies data to enhance Unical’s ERP system.
  • Recognize possible opportunities to buy specific high turn materials and create demand to support Unical’s customer base.
  • Maintain a database that tracks target product types.
  • Understand assemblies and sub-assemblies to increase marketability.
  • Utilize incoming pipeline and current inventory analysis to predict and forecast internal demand for teardowns of engine and aircraft.
  • Create opportunities for strategic purchasing to maintain inventory levels and expand product offering.
  • Obsolescence and enhancement research in conjunction with the repair department.
  • Monitor the turn of material and inventory investment.
  • Generation and analysis of sales data, review statistics and identify trends and formulate strategies.
  • Work with sales and individual networks to move aging inventory.
  • Ability to create and present business cases.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of planning & organizing workflow.
  • 8+ years of experience in the aviation industry.
  • Proven success in a managerial role.
  • Encouraging and motivating a team to work and collaborate to meet goals.
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships and adjust as needed for each customer.
  • Knowledge of Quantum.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize various tasks and assignments.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills. Quantum experience is preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance or a related field.


Travel:

  • May be required up to 25%.


Language:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.


Physical Demands:

  • Work Environment: 75% office, 25% shop floor (warehouse and aviation repair shop)
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasions.
  • Carrying, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching.


Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in an administrative office setting.
  • This role routinely uses standards office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
