Position Overview:

The Airframe Product Line Manager is responsible for conducting comprehensive market analysis, providing technical assistance, and developing pricing strategies to achieve the organization's revenue and profit objectives. This role also supports the sales team in promoting all airframe materials owned by the company. It involves active participation in the assessment, valuation, and procurement of aircraft and surplus packages, as well as strategic purchasing of necessary materials, leveraging the expertise available within the organization. The position requires collaboration with the Director of Airframe Product Lines, Sales VPs across various regions, Global Account Managers, and relevant departments associated with suppliers. A solid understanding of the commercial aircraft parts aftermarket, including availability, demand, and valuation, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess entire assets for acquisition and formulate strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • Identify suitable welding equipment or methods based on specific requirements.
  • Oversee the disassembly process, coordinate drop shipments, and select appropriate repair stations to enhance cost efficiency and turnaround time.
  • Ensure materials are properly certified and readily accessible for the sales team to effectively support customers.
  • Maintain an updated pricing structure for managed materials.
  • Foster and sustain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage targeted revenues with a focus on aged inventory to facilitate quicker reinvestment in acquiring newer assets.
  • Assist the Director of Product Lines in evaluating all opportunities presented, providing relevant forecasts for the Commercial Review Board and CFO/CEO as needed.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in alignment with the Company's return on investment and internal rate of return goals.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Product Lines to develop a team of strategic buyers to analyze demand based on internal data and market insights, in accordance with the executive team's investment strategy.
  • Report monthly on specific sales related to acquired materials and established sales targets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in material and sales roles within the aviation sector.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with current and prospective buyers and sellers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Essential knowledge of asset management processes, including negotiation and management of contractual requirements for purchasing assets, such as letters of intent and sales agreements.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize various opportunities effectively.
  • Ability to assist and enhance knowledge within a team environment, supporting Technical, Repairs, and Strategic Purchasing departments.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in business administration, aviation management, or a related field is preferred.

Travel Requirements:

Travel may be necessary for conferences and visits to specific customers or suppliers as directed by the executive team.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.

Physical Demands:

Work Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional visits to repair stations and teardown facilities.
