This role involves supporting the sales team in the promotion of all airframe materials owned by the company. Additionally, the position requires active participation in the evaluation, assessment, and procurement of aircraft, surplus packages, and strategic purchasing of essential materials, leveraging the expertise available within the organization. Responsibilities include ownership of valuation and technical evaluations concerning the acquisition of such assets and materials. Close collaboration with the Director of Airframe Product Lines, regional VPs of Sales, Global Account Managers, and relevant departments is essential, particularly in supplier interactions. A solid understanding of the commercial aircraft parts aftermarket, including availability, demand, and valuation, is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess entire assets for acquisition and devise strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • Select the appropriate welding equipment or methods based on project specifications.
  • Oversee the disassembly process, coordinate drop shipments, and choose suitable component repair stations to enhance cost efficiency and turnaround time.
  • Ensure materials are properly certified and readily accessible for the sales team to effectively support our customer base.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pricing structure for managed materials.
  • Foster and sustain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage targeted revenues with a specific focus on aged inventory to facilitate quicker reinvestment in newer assets.
  • Assist the Director of Product Lines in evaluating all presented opportunities with relevant forecasting data for submission to the Commercial Review Board and CFO/CEO for approval.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms aligned with the company's return on investment and internal rate of return objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Product Lines to develop a team of strategic buyers to assess demand based on internal data and market insights in line with the investment strategy set by the executive team.
  • Provide monthly reports on specific sales related to acquired materials and sales targets established by the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in material and sales roles within the aviation sector.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with current and prospective buyers and sellers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of asset management processes, including negotiation and management of contractual obligations related to asset purchases, such as letters of intent and sales and purchase agreements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities effectively.
  • Capability to assist and enhance knowledge within a team environment, supporting Technical, Repairs, and Strategic Purchasing departments.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining priorities and meeting management deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in business administration, aviation management, or a related field is preferred.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel for conferences and to meet with specific customers or suppliers as required by the executive team.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Physical Demands:

Work Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional visits to repair stations and teardown facilities.
