We need a National Sales Manager to continue the explosive growth of a Food Production company in Philadelphia, PA. This full-time position requires an individual with a natural talent for sales leadership. The ideal candidate should have excellent management skills, a strong desire to learn, and a belief in listening, learning, and hard work. The National Sales Manager will drive the company's sales growth and expand our market presence. This position will develop and execute sales strategies, manage and grow the sales team, and build strong relationships with key accounts and distributors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CPG food sales, a deep understanding of the distribution landscape, and a proven track record of managing a national broker force. Previous experience within the CPG (consumer packaged goods) industry is highly preferred. Moreover, the perfect candidate should demonstrate a strong work ethic, punctuality, aptitude for learning, and, most importantly, a desire to build on their career.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market growth.
  • Manage, lead, and grow the sales team, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and national broker forces.
  • Present products to larger retail chains, securing placements and driving sales.
  • Expand private label, brand, and bulk sales, and explore co-manufacturing service opportunities.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to senior management.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CPG food sales, with a proven track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge of the distribution landscape, specifically with UNFI & KeHE Distributors.
  • Experience managing a national broker force and working with large retail chains.
  • Proven experience in private label sales, brand sales, bulk sales, and co-manufacturing services.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
