Position Overview: The National Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving Mavuno Harvest's sales growth and expanding our market presence. This position will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing and growing the sales team, and building strong relationships with key accounts and distributors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CPG food sales, a deep understanding of the distribution landscape, and a proven track record of managing a national broker force.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market growth.
- Manage, lead and grow the sales team, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and national broker force.
- Present Mavuno Harvest products to larger retail chains, securing placements and driving sales.
- Expand private label sales, brand sales, bulk sales, and explore co-manufacturing service opportunities.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to senior management.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CPG food sales, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of the distribution landscape, specifically with UNFI & KeHE Distributors.
- Experience managing a national broker force and working with large retail chains.
- Proven experience in private label sales, brand sales, bulk sales, and co-manufacturing services.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
