Our mission is to move humanity off of fossil fuel heating. 20% of US global warming emissions come from homes (that's more than cars). The largest driver of home emissions is burning fossil fuels for heat. To accomplish the energy transition, over 80M US homes need to transition from combustion to efficient, electric heat pumps over the coming decades.
We believe for this to happen the world needs fantastic products that are easy and desirable to purchase. Today's heat pumps lack great design, make limited use of software, and are difficult and stressful to adopt. We are building a next generation, beautifully designed, AI optimized home heating and cooling system that is 10x better than what is on the market today. And we are making it easy to purchase and adopt by managing all sales, rebates, permitting and installation for our customers in-house.
RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and strategic Operations Lead to take our field operations to the next level. In this role, you will be jointly responsible for building and optimizing our in-house field operations team, setting Quilt up for fast growth and smooth, efficient day-to-day operations.
Acting as the right hand to our General Manager for the Bay Area, you will work closely with field teams and sales staff to design an exceptional customer experience, scale our installation volume, and improve efficiency.
Our field operations is the fastest-growing department in the company and this is an exciting time to join as we're getting ready to start scaling later this year.
Responsibilities- Lead special projects to build an efficient sales and installation engine, such as building tools, defining SOPs, and identifying opportunities to improve.
- Define, implement and streamline field operations processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Collaborate with sales and fulfillment teams to plan and execute successful new market launches.
- Drive hiring for our field services team and design comprehensive training and development programs to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Empower our field services staff to complete high-quality installation projects on time and with a great customer experience.
- You have 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced work environment with a high bar for excellence.
- You have (first) experience in working with operations, with a bonus for experience with trade workers or on-site engineering.
- You're a strong problem-solver who is able to figure out ambiguous problems with little guidance.
- You have great project management skills and can juggle multiple tasks at once.
- You have a genuine interest in home electrification, accelerating the energy transition, and the product Quilt is building.
This is a full-time, hybrid position in our Redwood City office.
The expected salary range is $165,000 to $187,550 a year. In addition to base salary, Quilt also offers meaningful equity and top-tier benefits.
