**Retail Operations Leader**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a Retail Operations Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding top talent.
  • Creating staffing strategies for essential store positions.
  • Evaluating workload approaches and collaborating with team members to formulate actionable plans.
  • Working closely with the store leadership team to devise and implement strategies for associate retention.
  • Encouraging a collaborative and engaged workplace, addressing associate concerns effectively.
  • Driving associate engagement and development through clear communication, constructive feedback, and recognition.
  • Overseeing the coaching and development of associates, including performance appraisals to recommend promotions or role changes.
  • Exemplifying a hospitality-focused approach on the sales floor to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Managing visual merchandising to align with company standards and brand representation.
  • Ensuring pricing accuracy and compliance with company processes regarding inventory management.
  • Making informed decisions to optimize store expenses, including payroll and productivity.
  • Maintaining standards for the Cash Office, Service Desk, and overall store safety.
  • Executing all merchandising directives and ensuring proper product placement throughout the store.
  • Analyzing business reports to identify merchandise opportunities and drive sales.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with vendors and community partners.
  • Exercising sound judgment in management decisions.

As a Retail Operations Leader, you will act as the CEO of your store, leading the executive team to achieve sales growth. Development is integral to Kohl's culture, and you will oversee training initiatives while providing development recommendations for associates. Your approach to these responsibilities will vary based on numerous factors, including team composition and personal experience.

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS**

**REQUIRED**

  • 3-5 years of experience in retail management within a high-volume environment.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing large teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
  • Strong multitasking skills while maintaining customer focus and flexibility to business needs.

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with assistance for heavier items.
  • Willingness to spend the majority of work hours on your feet, moving throughout the store.
  • Physical activities may include bending, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking, and reaching frequently.
