Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Lead IT Operations Specialist to enhance our Corporate IT division. This pivotal role encompasses the management of daily IT functions, spearheading significant IT initiatives such as infrastructure enhancements, automation strategies, and compliance projects, while ensuring uninterrupted business operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design, execution, and upkeep of our technology framework and network systems across all global office locations, while also playing a strategic role in optimizing our IT assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic IT projects that align with the company's objectives, emphasizing infrastructure integrity, network reliability, and security upgrades.
  • Innovate and refine IT processes and systems to boost operational effectiveness and dependability.
  • Design, set up, and maintain network infrastructure components such as firewalls, switches, access points, VPNs, and security measures as necessary.
  • Oversee the procurement of software and hardware, ensuring optimal resource allocation and investment.
  • Guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements, including SOX, with a focus on our SaaS offerings, network security, and data protection.
  • Deliver comprehensive IT support, addressing Tier 1, 2, and 3 issues, and managing escalated technical challenges.
  • Develop and automate workflows to enhance system efficiencies and ensure business continuity, utilizing scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely execution.
  • Collaborate with various teams to create and implement IT workflows and projects, particularly those related to automation and compliance improvements.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and effectively manage software and hardware acquisitions.
Expected Achievements in the First 6 Months:
  • Establish rapport with the IT team and engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the IT systems and oversee the global network infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in troubleshooting technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, and SaaS platform access.
  • Support IT project initiatives that align with organizational growth and compliance.
  • Develop Jira projects and workflows in accordance with compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to ongoing IT security enhancements with upcoming projects.
Expected Achievements in 12+ Months:
  • Standardize global network infrastructure, ensuring configuration and maintenance meet compliance and security standards.
  • Acquire cross-training across all IT systems to possess a foundational understanding of each.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of compliance standards related to IT security across all systems and infrastructure.
  • Support the hiring and training of new team members as the organization expands.
  • Oversee and manage projects aimed at process improvements within your area of responsibility or tackle challenging projects in other areas.
  • Develop and execute automation projects and workflows in close collaboration with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in IT support roles, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
  • Extensive experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
  • Proficient in configuring network hardware, including firewalls, switches, and access points.
  • Familiarity with IT compliance and regulatory standards, particularly SOX compliance.
  • Experience with enterprise workflow management systems, especially JIRA and other Atlassian products.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a systematic approach to work and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Compensation:
Annual salary range of $103,000 to $147,000.
